Introduction to banking

For entry level positions within financial institutions, CIVA offers its candidates an Introduction to banking training session. During this training session, we cover the following subjects:

Everyday banking products and services

Investments

Credit products and analysis

Customer service

Mortgages

Sales

This training session will provide you with employees who have been observed and tested and who meet CIVA’s quality standards. Moreover, these potential employees will have acquired some knowledge about banking products and services as well as the sales concept related to financial products, which will facilitate their integration. Finally, you will save training time within your company.

Mutual Funds Representative

Since 2003, CIVA has helped hundreds of candidates to successfully complete the Canadian Investment Funds course offered by the Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC) and obtain their license as a Mutual Funds Representative.

Overview

CIVA offers a training session at our premises two nights per week for 4 consecutive weeks. These training sessions give the participants the opportunity to complete the course within one month.

Over and above the tools offered by the IFIC, CIVA provides its own learning material to our learners to facilitate their learning experience.

Targeted clientele

  • Employees from all financial institutions (banks, insurance companies, brokers, etc.) who wish to improve their knowledge and competences.
  • Individuals inspired by a banking career.

Subscription fees

750$ per person

  • Includes the IFIC registration fees, access to the learning material and registration to the exam.

We can also provide private sessions for groups of 10 and more.
